December 12, 2018. Solemnity of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

The Santa María Family celebrated the Mexican feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe with a Mass and a meal. Each year, friends and benefactors join us to give thanks to God for his generosity and to Our Lady for her constant and compassionate intercession. The friends of Santa María love to visit with the children and see their many talents through some of the goods they craft from their workshops (baking, sewing, carpentry, and welding). All of the children and elderly of Santa María wish you a very Merry Christmas!

The Feast of Santa Filomena

The founder of Santa Maria, Fr. Antonio Norman, always had a devotion to Santa Filomena. On Saturday, August 11, 2018, the present students, priests, sisters, workers, and local persons from around town held our annual celebration on our property dedicated to her honor. The memory of Santa Filomena and the memory of Fr. Antonio were celebrated with the Mass, the final day of the novena to Santa Filomena, music, food, smiles and wonderful memories. All that we have, we have received from another. We praise God for his goodness to us.

Culture Week

March 13-March 16, 2018.

For over ten years, the students of Santa Maria del Mexicano have celebrated culture week. All of the students participate in artistic and cultural activities to recall how culture expresses the beauty and diversity of God’s gifts to his people. From poetry and drawing to dancing and singing, these students showcase their many talents to their Santa Maria Family and some invited guests. In this liturgical year of the youth, Santa Maria gives thanks to God for his goodness and its many-faceted expression in the students of Santa Maria.
